From humble beginnings to Southeastern Massachusetts’ leading collision repair shop.
Check Collision’s humble origins began in 1987 as a division of Toyota of Dartmouth. Located in a small corner of the dealership’s basement, our body shop business expanded over the years thanks to a growing reputation for excellent customer service, first-rate collision repairs, and efficient insurance claims processing.
In 2010, we outgrew our existing body shop location and decided to invest in a new 28,000 SF state-of-the-art facility to better serve our customers. Now, with locations in Mattapoisett and Dartmouth, Massachusetts, our new facilities raise the bar even further in the auto body industry.
Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our employees, Check Collision was recently ranked third out of 1,200 shops by Toyota Motor Sales in exceeding their stringent key performance indicators (KPIs).

I got into an accident. What do I do now?
In the event of an accident:
- Stop at the scene and determine if anyone was injured and assess damage
- Contact medical services if anyone is injured
- Report accident to appropriate law enforcement agency
- Exchange information with all parties and witnesses
- Call your insurance carrier to report the claim
- Contact Check Collision for assistance with repair, towing, or rentals
- Since we operate our own tow fleet, we can pick your vehicle up just about anywhere—at no cost to you!
Do I need an estimate?
Yes. If going through insurance, an appraiser will come to your home, work, or our facility. If paying yourself, we provide free estimates at any location.
Why is there a difference in price between you and my insurance estimate?
To ensure proper repair, we work with your insurance to maintain vehicle safety and integrity. Differences may occur due to:
- Different repair plans and labor hours per insurance company
- OEM vs aftermarket parts based on vehicle year and mileage
- Additional damage discovered during disassembly
What makes and models do you work on?
We work on virtually any make, model, or year. Our technicians specialize in everyday vehicles, fleet vehicles, large service trucks, and ambulances.
When will my vehicle be finished?
Due to the nature of collision repair, we provide a realistic completion date after systematic disassembly and inspection. We’ll call you within 24 hours of starting work with a better timeline estimate.
Do I get a warranty?
All our work (paint, parts, and materials) is guaranteed for as long as you own your vehicle. You’ll receive an itemized list of all repairs when you pick up your vehicle.
Do you recalibrate ADAS systems after repairs?
Yes and it’s a critical step we never skip. Modern vehicles use cameras, radar, and sensors to power features like automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. Even a minor collision can knock these sensors out of alignment. Our technicians recalibrate all ADAS systems to OEM specifications after every relevant repair, ensuring your vehicle’s safety features perform exactly as designed.
